There are a number of quite reputable Boerboel breeders in South Africa (SA). I have imported from SA, and while talking to brokers on the US/Canadian side, they seem to always assume that people getting a dog via Africa are victims of a scam. I can say that this is not the case, typically, if you buy from a reputable breeder.
Here are two breeders that I recommend, and if there are any others, feel free to add them!

Dopper Boerboele — A highly recommended breeder from South Africa, we have personally imported from Dopper and cannot say enough about the dedication, and quality of the breeding and dogs. This is a breeder that cares. They export to the US, Canada, Europe, etc. and are notable as one of the first breeders to do hip x-rays at 12 months, etc. before it became standard practice. |

Spitsvuur Boerboele — Another highly recommended South African breeder which exports to North America. –“…In the rural farm areas of our country where we live, a guard dog is a necessity. We also needed guard dogs, and the natural choice was the Boerboel.”
